Violence in the Retail Industry, Part I: Preventing Workplace Violence and Preparing for Active Shooter Situations

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, one out of every six violent crimes occurs in the workplace. This is particularly concerning for retail establishments, as they are more accessible to the public and are thus disproportionately subjected to workplace violence. In part one of our webinar series, Dennis Davis, Ph.D., will discuss how retail employers can tackle the unique issues they face, such as later hours of operation and more customer contact, to prevent workplace violence and prepare for active shooter situations.
