The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) recently issued an order expanding the definition of “close contact,” which affects workplace contact tracing, COVID -19 testing, and exclusions. This singular change has far-reaching implications, especially on retail, manufacturing, food processing, and distribution centers, as well as employers with large indoor workspaces.
