Ogletree Deakins Included in AmLaw 200 List

   |   Press Release

ATLANTA – August 16, 2005 – Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. (Ogletree Deakins) is proud to announce that, for the first time, it has been included on the prestigious “Am Law 200” list of top U.S. law firms. Ogletree Deakins ranked number 194 on the list, which is compiled and published by The American Lawyer magazine. The survey lists the nation’s law firms based on profits per partner, revenue per lawyer, value per attorney and gross revenues.

“This is great news for our firm. We had an outstanding year in 2004 in terms of our revenue and growth,” commented Ogletree Deakins’ managing shareholder Gray Geddie. “We attribute our good fortune to the talented group of attorneys we have on board. Their focus and dedication is what makes this firm successful.”

In 2004, Ogletree Deakins added new offices in Florida, New Jersey and North Carolina – boosting the number of attorneys within the firm to more than 250. This year, the firm has experienced further growth, opening offices in Kansas City and Phoenix. Ogletree Deakins now has nearly 300 lawyers nationwide, making it the third largest labor and employment law specialty firm in the country. Given this added growth, the firm anticipates an even higher ranking on next year’s Am Law 200 list.
