CHARLOTTE – February 27, 2007 – Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. (Ogletree Deakins), the nation’s third largest labor and employment law firm, is pleased to announce Robert M. Bisanar has joined the firm’s Charlotte office as of counsel. Mr. Bisanar brings over thirty years of legal expertise to the firm and has handled a variety of labor and employment matters including executive compensation, OSHA, whistleblower claims, reductions in force, and union negotiations and organizing campaigns.
Before coming to Ogletree Deakins, Mr. Bisanar worked for Duke Energy for 26 years and was responsible for the company’s legal affairs relating to labor and employment. He began his career there as a senior attorney and retired from the company as deputy general counsel over the labor and employment group. Prior to joining Duke Energy, Mr. Bisanar was the assistant city attorney for the City of Gastonia for four years.
