Howard Daniel Named to Davidson College's Board of Visitors

GREENVILLE – February 2, 2007 – Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. (Ogletree Deakins) is pleased to announce that Greenville attorney J. Howard Daniel has been named to a three-year term on Davidson College’s Board of Visitors. Mr. Daniel, a Davidson alumnus, has been involved with the school for many years and has previously served as Class Chair for the Annual Fund on several occasions and as Vice President of the National Alumni Association.

Established in 1956, the Board of Visitors was created to increase awareness in the community about Davidson College. It is responsible for building and strengthening the school’s internal and external relationships and also provides advice and support to the College. While the Board is not a part of the formal governance system of Davidson College, it is considered to be a major resource for ideas and assistance.
