Jones has joined its San Francisco office as Of Counsel. Previously, Jones was appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Deputy Secretary, Special Counsel for the California Labor and Workforce Development Agency.
Prior to his appointment, Jones was California’s State Labor Commissioner where he was responsible for enforcing the state’s labor laws on working conditions, minimum wage and overtime. He has also served as the Chief Counsel for the California Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Labor Standards Enforcement.

Earlier in his career, Jones practiced private and public sector labor and employment law for more than 20 years and was a founding member of the Jones Law Group. His client list included a wide range of businesses with both domestic and international operations.
