LOS ANGELES, CA – February 1, 2011 – Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. (Ogletree Deakins), one of the nation’s largest labor and employment law firms, is pleased to announce that Dawn Irizarry has joined the firm’s Los Angeles office. Prior to joining the firm, Irizarry was an associate in the Los Angeles and New York offices of Proskauer Rose LLP. Irizarry represents management in all phases of civil litigation involving employment-related disputes, including wage & hour issues (including class and collective actions), sexual harassment, unlawful discrimination, hostile work environment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, failure to accommodate and defamation. She also regularly provides advice and counsel to employers regarding personnel policies, employee discipline and terminations, workforce reductions, employment contracts, medical leaves of absence, separation agreements, employee benefits and internal employee complaints.

Irizarry earned her J.D., cum laude, from the Southwestern University School of Law in 2002 where she was the Associate Editor of the Southwestern Law Review and a recipient of the CALI Excellence Award.
Ogletree Deakins’ Los Angeles office continues to grow given the recent addition of Evan Moses who joined the firm in November as a shareholder.
