Ogletree Deakins Welcomes Steven Hymowitz to the Firm’s New Orleans Office

NEW ORLEANS, LA – June 15, 2011 – Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. (Ogletree Deakins), one of the nation’s largest labor and employment law firms, continues to grow the firm’s New Orleans office with the addition of Steven Hymowitz as Of Counsel. Hymowitz has practiced labor and employment law for more than 35 years. In fact, he was lead counsel in one of the largest unfair labor practice trials in the history of the National Labor Relations Board, involving more than 200 consolidated allegations of unfair labor practices. Hymowitz’s practice also includes issues relating to wrongful termination, discrimination and civil rights, the Employee Retirement Income Securities Act (ERISA), and class and collective actions.

Hymowitz is the past Management Co-Chair of the American Bar Association Labor and Employment Law Section’s Committee on Employment Rights and Responsibilities. He frequently participates as a faculty member of the American Bar Association National Institutes and other programs concerning employment law. Hymowitz is also a faculty and Advisory Board member of the National Employment Law Institute.
