DETROIT – February 26, 2015 – Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. (Ogletree Deakins), one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to announce that Gillian Yee, a shareholder in the firm’s Detroit Metro office, was the exclusive winner of the International Law Office’s 2015 Client Choice Award in the Employment & Benefits category for Michigan.

Yee was selected as a recipient of the 2015 Client Choice Award based on feedback provided by more than 2,500 in-house counsel. The criteria for this recognition focused on Yee’s ability to add real value to clients’ business above and beyond the other legal professionals in the market.
Yee focuses her practice on representing management in employment counseling and litigation in a wide range of areas, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, non-compete and confidentiality agreements, garnishments, medical leaves, and wage and hour laws. Outside of her practice, Yee serves on Ogletree Deakins’ Diversity and Inclusion Committee. She is also president of the Michigan Asian Pacific American Bar Association and serves on the National Pacific American Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Committee. Yee earned her J.D. from Wayne State University Law School.
