   |   Press Release

ATLANTA – February 11, 2020 – Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, has chosen Caroline Tang, a shareholder in the Austin office, to be a member of the 2020 class of Fellows, participating in a landmark program created by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) to identify, train, and advance the next generation of leaders in the legal profession. Norma Manjarrez, an associate in the Chicago office, has been selected to be a member of the 2020 class of Pathfinders, which is designed by the LCLD to train high-performing, early-career attorneys in critical career development strategies including leadership and building professional networks.

“This is a great honor for Caroline and Norma,” said Michelle Wimes, Ogletree Deakins’ Chief Diversity and Professional Development Officer. “They join a select group of attorneys from across the U.S. with diverse backgrounds who have been identified as having the potential to assume a leadership role, not only in our organization, but in the profession.”

According to LCLD President Robert J. Grey, Jr., the LCLD Fellows Program offers participants “a year-long, in-depth program devoted to relationship-building, in-person training, peer-group projects, and extensive contact with LCLD’s top leadership.”

The LCLD Pathfinder Program offers participants “intensive in-person training, online experiential learning, and opportunities to network with peers and esteemed LCLD Fellows and Alumni in small group gatherings.”

“We believe it’s a program that can help catapult a person’s career forward,” said Grey.
