Ogletree Deakins Names New Chief Talent Officer

ATLANTA – January 12, 2021 – Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to announce that the firm has named Margaret (Meg) Holman as its Chief Talent Officer. Meg, who will be based in Ogletree Deakins’ Atlanta office, joins the firm from FordHarrison LLP, where she was the Chief Operating Officer and was responsible for day-to-day operations of the national labor and employment law firm. Earlier, she served as the Associate Director, Lawyer Development for King & Spalding. Meg also held positions as a Chief Strategic Officer and Director of Professional Development for FordHarrison LLP.

As Ogletree Deakins’ Chief Talent Officer, Meg will lead the strategy and execution for the recruitment, engagement, and development of the firm’s attorneys and professional staff across its legal and administrative departments around the world. She will oversee the firm’s learning and employee development, professional development, and recruiting and retention departments to attract and retain top talent. Meg will strategically partner with the firm’s senior leadership and human resources departments, practice group leaders, office leaders, and other internal teams to achieve world class effectiveness in recruiting, retention, professional development, and talent engagement.

Meg earned her Master’s in Law Firm Management from The George Washington University and her J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law. Earlier, she received her B.A. in English from Furman University. She is an active member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Association of Legal Administrators, the National Association for Law Placement, and The Professional Development Consortium.
