SEATTLE – December 4, 2023 – Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to welcome Sherry Talton as a shareholder in the firm’s Seattle office. Talton joins the firm from Jackson Lewis, where she was a principal and member of that firm’s Disability, Leave and Health Management Practice Group.
With a legal career spanning more than two decades, Talton represents employers in every stage of disputes, from risk management to trial and appeal. She has extensive litigation and appellate experience, defending employers against allegations of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and more before state and federal courts. Talton also handles high-profile workplace investigations, helps employers implement time-sensitive strategies for workplace violence and other crisis scenarios, and provides comprehensive sexual harassment, DEI, EEO, and other workplace trainings.

Talton is active in her legal and local communities, including serving on the Board of Directors for Camp Fire USA and as a member of the Association of Workplace Investigators, Society for Human Resource Management, and Washington Women Lawyers. She was named in The Best Lawyers in America© 2024 guide in the Employment Law – Management category. Talton earned her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law and her M.A. and B.A., magna cum laude, from Northwestern State University of Louisiana.
