Ogletree Deakins Strengthens San Diego Office with Experienced Litigator Eric Fox

SAN DIEGO – June 14, 2024 – Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to welcome Eric Fox as a shareholder in the firm’s San Diego office. Fox joins Ogletree Deakins from Quarles & Brady.

Fox is a trusted and skilled litigator with more than a decade of legal experience. Utilizing his deep understanding of employment law, Fox has successfully represented employers in all stages of employment litigation, including at trial, arbitration, and on appeal. This includes handling complex cases involving wage and hour disputes, class actions, and Private Attorney General Act (PAGA) claims. His litigation experience extends to discrimination and harassment cases, as well as claims under the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, and the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).  Fox has multiple successful published California appellate decisions. 

In addition, Fox serves an advisor to employers on compliance related to California and federal employment laws. This includes providing advice to employers on handling difficult employee decisions, drafting employee handbooks, leading workplace investigations, and giving presentations on compliance with state and federal laws. Earlier in his career, Fox served as a Deputy Attorney General for the California Department of Justice. He also has experience as a general litigator.

Fox earned his J.D. from the University of Southern California Law School and his B.A., with honors, from the University of California, Davis.
