SAN ANTONIO – August 17, 2026 – Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to welcome Mark McNitzky to the firm’s San Antonio office as a shareholder. McNitzky returns to Ogletree Deakins from Langley & Banack, Inc., where he was a shareholder leading the firm’s Labor and Employment section for three years. He previously spent nearly eight years with Ogletree Deakins in the San Antonio office.
Returning with more than 15 years of legal experience, McNitzky continues to manage day-to-day labor and employment law issues with a focus on employment litigation. He represents employers in state and federal courts and in arbitration, serving as first-chair in matters involving discrimination, retaliation, and defamation; wage-and-hour violations; Equal Pay Act (EPA) and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) claims; and more. In addition, McNitzky represents clients in investigations conducted by federal and state agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Department of Labor (DOL), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC).
McNitzky also provides advice and counsel on employment laws at the local, state, and federal levels, assisting business leaders with proactive compliance. He develops workplace policies and protocols, analyzes employee classifications and pay structures, handles work separation matters, and drafts and reviews company handbooks and employment agreements.
“Mark is a skilled litigator with a track record of success and the knowledge to represent employers across a wide variety of labor and employment matters,” said Tiffany Stacy, office managing shareholder in San Antonio. “His ability to provide proactive counsel and litigate when needed will serve our clients well as we continue to expand our presence in San Antonio and across Texas.”
“Ogletree Deakins has one of the most respected labor and employment practices in the country, and I saw firsthand the impact that commitment to excellence has on clients during my time with the firm,” said McNitzky. “I’m glad to rejoin this exceptional team and its client-first culture, and I look forward to partnering with clients and colleagues to deliver meaningful results.”
McNitzky earned his J.D. from the Texas Tech University School of Law and his BBA, cum laude, from Texas Tech University. He is among a growing number of shareholders returning to Ogletree Deakins after stints elsewhere, with nine shareholders rejoining the firm since the start of 2025.
