Adam G. Cuff

Senior Counsel   |   Seattle

Adam is a highly-experienced employment law litigator and advisor/counselor in Seattle. After growing up in Yakima, Washington, he left to serve in Army Intelligence during the Cold War, including a tour of duty overseas. He took that commitment to service and defense with him to the University of Washington (1993) to study philosophy (cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa honor society) and then the law (1996), especially employment law.

Nearly thirty years later, Adam is still doing what he has always loved, defending employers in courts/agencies running the gamut of issues from discrimination to compensation and advising employers regarding the same to keep them out of courts/agencies, includes disability, gender/sex, race/color, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, and veteran discrimination, retaliation, harassment, leave, and wage/hour lawsuits (including class actions) in the federal district and state superior courts in Washington and Oregon as well as charges in the EEOC (the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission), the DOL (the federal Department of Labor Wage & Hour Division), L&I (the Washington Department of Labor & Industries) Employment Standards (Wage & Hour), including FMLA and PFML.

Over the years, Adam has supervised lawyers and legal teams regarding complex multi-party litigation as well as massive public records disclosures. More recently, he has litigated numerous wage/compensation class actions and litigated even more employment cases within the demanding parameters of employment practices liability coverage.

Over nearly three decades, Adam has litigated for and advised countless industry groups, including retail, grocery, technology, transportation, restaurant, hospitality, and small businesses, as well as government entities, including counties, cities, and fire, police, and school districts.

Adam also serves as an arbitrator for King and Pierce County Superior Courts.

Adam is admitted to practice in the States of Washington and Oregon as well as their federal district courts and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
