Adam J. Crane

Adam J. Crane is an associate in the Orange County office of Ogletree Deakins, representing employers in employment law matters with a focus on workplace safety and health. Before joining the firm, Adam served 11 years as a judge advocate in the Marine Corps, gaining extensive trial experience in criminal, administrative, and military employment law. He has prosecuted and defended hundreds of cases, including numerous felony jury trials and employment termination hearings. While serving as in-house counsel at the Pentagon, Adam routinely handled workplace investigations involving harassment, discrimination, and financial integrity, and developed compliance strategies. In 2017, Adam deployed with an infantry battalion to the South Pacific as the chief legal advisor Marine Rotational Force – Darwin.

Adam holds a Master of Laws in military law and criminal litigation from The Army Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center & School (Distinguished Graduate) and a Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law. He is a decorated Marine Corps officer and continues to serve in the Marine Corps Reserve as a Senior Litigator and Preliminary Hearing Officer. Born and raised in Orange County, Adam enjoys surfing and spending time with his wife and three boys.
