Allison E. McDevitt

Allison is an innovative attorney who is passionate about serving her clients and community. An associate in the Indianapolis office, Allison defends employers across multiple industries, including the sports and entertainment industry, against a range of employment-related allegations in federal and state courts and in administrative proceedings, including discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. In addition to her litigation practice, Allison is a budding associate in the firm’s Drug Testing Practice Group, where she advises clients on drug testing policies and related workplace challenges.

Allison is a proud alumna of the University of Michigan. After receiving her undergraduate degree in Sport Management, Allison relocated to Bloomington to attend Indiana University Maurer School of Law, where she graduated cum laude and served as the Associate Chief Justice of the Sherman Minton Executive Advocacy Board. During law school, Allison also competed in multiple advocacy competitions, served as an Executive Editor on the Indiana Law Journal, and externed for the Honorable Judge Mary Ellen Diekhoff. Before joining Ogletree Deakins, Allison worked as a summer law clerk for the Michigan Poverty Law Program and as a summer associate at Ogletree Deakins’ Indianapolis.

Outside of the office, Allison enjoys attending theatre performances and the other arts-related events Indianapolis has to offer and giving back to her alma maters and community. Originally from the mitten, Allison faithfully roots for Michigan sports teams and seeks to spend as much time near the lake as possible.
