Amanda M. Nordby

Amanda has over a decade of employment-based immigration experience and has overseen immigration programs for companies ranging in size and from various sectors such as those in information technology, manufacturing, and financial industries. Her experience includes advising clients on a vast array of non-immigrant matters including H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-2, E-3 as well as immigrant matters including PERM, NIW, I-140 and Adjustment of Status applications. Amanda has represented Adjustment of Status applicants in-person at USCIS interviews and has attended various pro bono workshops including Project Citizenship workshops. Additionally, Amanda has partnered with local organizations such as Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) and The PAIR Project in managing pro bono cases.

Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Amanda worked at a top immigration law firm where she most recently developed a specialization in consular affairs. Specifically, Amanda oversaw the preparation of visa applications that were submitted to the U.S. Embassies and Consulates abroad and was responsible for developing and communicating immigration strategy and recommendations to clients based on consular changes.

Throughout her experience working in this field and by witnessing drastic changes to U.S. immigration policy over the years, Amanda has developed a unique ability to anticipate client needs and concerns and to proactively suggest strategies and solutions where necessary. Amanda is extremely dedicated to her work and is very passionate and committed to providing excellent client service.
