Amenah Khalil’s practice focuses on corporate immigration law. Ms. Khalil has a broad base of immigration experience and provides strategic business immigration advice to employers and professionals in various industries. She has extensive experience with the following nonimmigrant and immigrant visa categories: O-1 Extraordinary Ability; EB-2 Exceptional Ability with National Interest Waiver; EB-1 Extraordinary Ability/Multinational Manager; H-1B; L-1 Intra-Company Transferee; E-2 Treaty Investors; and PERM. Her ability to draft thorough, persuasive, and detailed petitions have been recognized throughout her practice.
Ms. Khalil represents employers and individuals before various government agencies including the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Labor, and Customs and Border Protection. She advises clients on immigration-related regulatory and policy updates and how these changes may impact businesses, employees, and individuals.
Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Ms. Khalil worked for a Mountain View, California firm where she helped startup companies with their immigration needs. As a law student, Ms. Khalil participated in the Immigration Law Clinic, was the Review Editor for the Law Journal on Gender, Race, and Justice, and served as an Intern for a federal district judge at the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas in El Paso, Texas.
When away from work, Ms. Khalil enjoys painting, reading, and spending time with her three children, including her twins.
