Amie develops and maintains multi-jurisdictional resources for Ogletree Deakins employer-clients. As Client Service Compliance Counsel, her work plays a key role in the firm’s advice and counsel, compliance, and prevention services.
Prior to becoming Client Service Compliance Counsel, Amie spent more than 25 years defending employers, with the last 12 as a shareholder in Ogletree’s Atlanta office. During the majority of her time in private practice, Amie primarily litigated and tried cases on behalf of healthcare employers in New Mexico and Georgia state and federal courts, and before the New Mexico Human Rights Bureau. As the firm’s primary New Mexico attorney, Amie authored and updated the New Mexico chapter of a national at-will employment law treatise for eleven years. Amie was listed among the The Best Lawyers in America® for Employment Law – Management (2021-2025) and Litigation – Labor & Employment (2022-2025).
Active in the community, Amie has served on the Board of Directors for the Tommy Nobis Center since 2019, including past Secretary, Vice Chair and Chair. She also served in the Emory Law Volunteer Clinic for Veterans, garnering the Georgia Bar Award for her service in 2015.
