Amy Howard is an attorney in the Las Vegas office of Ogletree Deakins, where she concentrates on employment litigation. She defends employers of all sizes in employment-related lawsuits in federal and state courts against a wide range of claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, violation of wage and hour laws, and breach of contract. Amy’s experience also includes representing clients before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Nevada Equal Rights Commission, the Nevada Office of the Labor Commissioner, and the U.S. Department of Labor.
Amy regularly advises employers on best practices for avoiding litigation on day-to-day human resources issues including discipline and discharge, accommodations and leave requests. She also spends a large portion of her practice reviewing employee handbooks and employment policies and procedures, and handling contract disputes related to restrictive covenants.
