Corrie R. Mitchell

Corrie is an associate in the firm’s Philadelphia office. Her practice focuses on all aspects of employment litigation, including discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims brought under Title VII, the ADEA, ADA, and FMLA. Prior to joining Ogletree, Corrie served as a law clerk to the Honorable Jessica R. Mayer, P.J.A.D., in the Appellate Division of the New Jersey Superior Court.

Corrie graduated magna cum laude from Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law, where she served as the Executive Editor of Articles for the Drexel Law Review. She received the Emmalee G. Welsh Award for Excellence in Legal Scholarship in recognition of her published note on educational equity. Corrie also served as a Public Interest Scholar, a Teaching Assistant for Torts & Legal Methods classes, and a Research Assistant.  Additionally, Corrie gained legal experience during law school while clerking for an Administrative Judge with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, as well as working on litigation matters for the city’s public school system and public policy issues for an animal protection organization.

Before practicing law, Corrie received her M.A. in journalism from New York University and worked first as an editor and then in communications and program administration for poverty alleviation and youth development nonprofits. She is actively involved in animal welfare volunteer work across Philadelphia.
