Danna S. Michel-Tyler

Danna is an associate in the firm’s Pittsburgh office. Danna represents employers in a variety of employment matters and provides advice and counseling. Her background focuses on counseling clients in a wide range of employment, human resources, and compliance issues. Her experience includes counseling on federal and state equal opportunity requirements, discrimination and harassment prevention, employment procedures and policies, as well as experience advising clients on the implementation of AI in their employment practices and on compliance with various EU regulations including the GDPR, AI Act, and Pay Transparency Directive.

Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Danna was an associate at a Labor and Employment boutique law firm in Washington, DC.

Danna is a graduate of The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. During law school she served as a Notes and Comments editor on the Journal of Law and Technology, earned her certificate from the Corporate Responsibility and Compliance Program, and interned at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Prior to law school, Danna earned her B.A. in International Relations with a concentration in Economics and History from Trinity Washington University.

Danna is admitted in Pennsylvania and Washington, DC. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Allegheny County Bar Association.

Outside of the office, Danna enjoys reading, birdwatching, Pilates, and spending time with her husband and three cats.
