David Nikolic is a dedicated and analytical problem solver who is committed to assisting employers in resolving various complex workplace challenges, including developing strategies to efficiently respond to employment lawsuits, prosecuting and defending violations of non-compete agreements and trade secret laws, and addressing labor challenges such as collective bargaining agreement negotiations and strike contingency planning. Clients and colleagues value David’s ability to consistently and efficiently deliver high-quality work product.

David’s litigation practice encompasses a broad range of employment matters before federal courts, state courts, and administrative agencies. He has significant experience representing employers in highly complex class action and single plaintiff lawsuits involving allegations of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wage-and-hour violations, forced labor, and others. His experience also includes prosecuting and defending breaches of non-compete agreements and trade secret laws, assisting clients in obtaining and opposing emergency injunctions, enforcing restrictive covenants, and advising employers on strategies to protect confidential business information and intellectual property across a variety of industries.

In addition to his employment litigation practice, David has significant experience in traditional labor relations. He has assisted clients with strike contingency planning, including addressing operational and staffing needs and drafting necessary injunction pleadings, navigating through grievance arbitration, and engaging in collective bargaining negotiations. David also assists employers with strategically and effectively responding to government investigations and administrative enforcement proceedings, including investigations and civil money penalty assessments by the United States Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division, pertaining to alleged child labor and wage and hour violations.

David is an alum of the University of Alabama School of Law. Before attending law school, David worked as a consultant at the World Bank, in Washington, D.C., within its Budget, Performance Review, and Strategic Planning unit. David has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the George Washington University.
