Dayna L. Chmelka

Dayna L Chmelka is counsel in the Ogletree Deakins San Diego office. Her practice focuses on providing advice and guidance to employers on a full range of employment law issues including drafting employment policies and procedures, leaves of absence, accommodations, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, terminations and discipline, wage and hour compliance, and workplace investigations.

Prior to joining Ogletree, Dayna litigated for more than 20 years as a shareholder with two California based law firms before transitioning to solo practice in 2020 to focus on employment law advice and counsel. She now brings her experience in collaborating with employers as a trusted advisor and risk management partner to the Ogletree advice and counsel group.
