As an associate in the firm’s Indianapolis office, Ellen Pactor defends employers in federal and state court litigation against a variety of employment-related allegations, including claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination. Ellen has experience representing clients in trial and numerous evidentiary hearings.

Ellen is committed to advancing the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the legal community. She was selected to be a member of the 2022 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Pathfinder program. As an active member of the Indiana legal community, she is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association Women and The Law Executive Committee and the Indiana State Bar Association Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity committee.

Before joining Ogletree Deakins, Ellen clerked for the Honorable John G. Baker at the Indiana Court of Appeals and worked as a commercial litigator at a large regional law firm. She graduated magna cum laude from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and cum laude from Mount Holyoke College.

In her spare time, Ellen enjoys hiking, backpacking, cycling, and playing tennis.
