Greta draws on her experience as counselor and litigator to support employers in providing safe, positive, and productive workplaces. In her OSHA and workplace safety practice, Greta helps employers navigate safety compliance and regulatory scrutiny. She represents clients in OSHA investigations and related litigation, drawing on career experience serving the highly regulated and often unionized rail and transit industries. She advises clients across industries on OSHA developments and helps them respond to accident investigations, allegations of unsafe workplace conditions, and safety-related retaliation claims.
Greta also represents and advises employers in a broad range of employment matters. She defends discrimination and harassment charges before the EEOC, Minnesota Department of Human Rights, and related local and federal agencies. She also litigates employment matters in state and federal court, including significant experience defending whistleblower and retaliation claims, as well as matters arising under the FMLA, ADA, ADEA, Title VII, Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and Minnesota Human Rights Act (MHRA). Greta draws on her litigation experience to provide effective and practical day-to-day counseling for clients on tough human resources issues. She also guides employers through internal HR investigations, and develops and delivers workplace trainings, drawing on her fluency in Spanish when serving Spanish-speaking workforces.
Her industry experience includes advising restaurant and hospitality employers on employment matters, including compliance with state and federal tip-pooling and service-charge requirements. She has defended restaurants in litigation involving alleged violations of Minnesota’s Tip Pooling statute and helped clients develop compliant tipping policies.
- Greta dedicates her pro bono practice to assisting asylum seekers from Latin America, drawing on the cultural and language experience she gained while living and traveling in Central America for two years before law school. She regularly takes cases through The Advocates for Human Rights.
