Hollis was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina and has deep roots in the Upstate. Before joining the firm, Hollis gained extensive experience in the field of employment law through his professions and education. Hollis worked as an EEO Investigator for the South Carolina Human Affairs Commission for roughly three years prior to his matriculation at the University of South Carolina School of Law, and gained experience on the plaintiff-side of employment litigation while working for a local firm in Columbia, South Carolina during his first and second years in law school. Hollis has worked employment-related lawsuits from all sides, which provides his clients with invaluable insight and guidance.
Hollis attended the University of South Carolina School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctorate degree in May 2024. While in law school, Hollis served as the President of UofSC’s Labor and Employment Law Society for the ‘22-‘23 and ‘23-‘24 school years, and received three scholarships for his leadership and adeptness in employment law: the South Carolina Bar Employment & Labor Law Section Memorial Scholarship, the Jackson Lewis Employment & Labor Law Endowed Award, and the Knox L. Haynsworth Jr. Labor Law Award. Hollis also received CALI awards in Principles of Labor Law and Business Torts.
As a proud Eagle Scout, Hollis spends most of his time outside of the office in the outdoors, whether that be hiking with his two dogs and wife, camping, or playing sports.
