Jessica’s practice focuses on providing counsel to management on all aspects of employment law, including Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Family & Medical Leave Act. Additionally, Jessica has drafted and reviewed a multitude of employee programs and documents, including employee handbooks, severance agreements, personal improvement plans, and investigation & disciplinary materials to ensure compliance on both a federal and state level. Jessica returns to Ogletree after working as an associate (2009-2011), paralegal (2009), and paralegal assistant (2003-2005) for the firm.

Prior to rejoining Ogletree, Jessica was an assistant general counsel at Michelin North America, Inc., providing proactive, practical legal advice on all aspects of employment law before working for ten years as a business lawyer at Michelin. As a business lawyer, Jessica was the advertising, antitrust, and trademark attorney for North America and negotiated contracts with some of Michelin’s largest global customers and automotive manufacturers. 

Jessica is a 2009 graduate, magna cum laude, of the University of South Carolina School of Law. During law school, Jessica served as Associate Editor in Chief of the South Carolina Law Review, was a member of the Order of the Coif and the Order of the Wig and Robe, and was the recipient of the Bronze Compleat Lawyer Award in 2009 (the highest award given to a student by the University of South Carolina School of Law). In 2005, Jessica earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, magna cum laude, from Furman University, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
