Joice B. Bass

Joice’s practice focuses on representing employers in state and federal litigation involving claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, and other employment related matters. Joice also has experience litigating employment contract claims such as breaches of non-compete and non-solicit clauses and related claims like misappropriation of trade secrets. Joice has experience counseling and advising businesses regarding employment policies and procedures, and she has performed internal investigations on behalf of her clients. 

Joice has both bench and jury trial experience as well as experience with alternative dispute resolution methods such as mediation, arbitration, and settlement conferences. With over twenty years of legal experience and significant management experience prior to law school, Joice provides knowledgeable and trusted advice for business clients of all sizes.

Before joining Ogletree Deakins as counsel in 2025, Joice provided critically important legal services for vulnerable adults at the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada (LACSN) in their nationally recognized and first of its kind Adult Guardianship Project. Prior to her public service with LACSN, Joice was a commercial/business litigation partner with a large regional law firm in their Las Vegas office.
