Julia N. Brown

Julia Brown is an associate attorney focusing on employment litigation at the firm’s Seattle office. Julia counsels employers on a wide range of employment matters including discrimination, wrongful termination, retaliation, wage and hour, leave laws, constitutional issues, and employee discipline. Julia also has experience drafting employee handbooks and contracts, negotiating settlement agreements, conducting investigations, and advising employers on day-to-day issues.

Prior to joining Ogletree, Julia represented businesses, individuals, and educational institutions in both Washington and Arizona on employment issues in state and federal courts, administrative proceedings, and arbitrations. Julia is a 2022 graduate of the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law, where she served as the business editor for the Arizona Journal of International and Comparative Law, where her note is published. Julia’s research on immigrant workers in the long-term care industry is also published the Arizona State Law Journal.

Julia is passionate about access to justice and takes pride in representing disadvantaged populations. In 2025, Julia was named a Top 50 Pro Bono Attorney by the Arizona Bar Foundation and Pro Bono Attorney of the Year by the U.S. District Court, District of Arizona.
