Katie Sanz represents a variety of employers in all phases of litigation in both state and federal court and before administrative agencies. She has experience defending employers against claims related to discrimination, retaliation, harassment, breach of contract, wage and hour, and claims brought pursuant to the Family Medical Leave Act. Katie also counsels and advises employers regarding a wide range of employment-related matters.
Prior to joining Ogletree, Katie worked at a two well-respected Cleveland law firms. Most recently, she practiced general civil litigation defense, representing clients in a variety of industries including energy and manufacturing. Prior to that, Katie worked at a small plaintiff’s side law firm representing individuals in a variety of employment matters.
While in law school, Katie participated in the Case Western Milton A. Kramer Civil Litigation Law Clinic, where she defended low-income clients. Katie also volunteered with the Legal Aid Society and served as an Articles Editor for the Case Western Journal of International Law. Before law school, Katie taught English in a bilingual elementary school in Guadalajara, Mexico for two years.
