Mallory H. Gantt is an associate in the Greenville, South Carolina office of Ogletree Deakins. Her practice focuses on representing employers in labor and employment matters, with a particular focus on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
Mallory represents employers in employment litigation and provides day-to-day counseling on a broad range of workplace issues. Her prior experience includes litigating claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and failure-to-accommodate claims under Title VII, the ADA, as well as advising employers regarding leave and accommodation matters under the FMLA and ADA. She also has experience handling matters involving employment verification and I-9 compliance, OSHA whistleblower complaints, FLSA claims, NLRB charges, and other labor and employment issues.
In addition to her litigation experience, Mallory counsels employers on proactive strategies for complying with federal and state labor and employment laws. She works with employers to address workplace issues, develop best practices, and navigate employee leave and disability accommodations.
Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Mallory practiced with a national labor and employment firm where she was a member of the firm’s Disability and Leave and Litigation practice groups. Her experience there included representing businesses in employment litigation and providing preventive counseling to employers on a wide range of workplace issues.
While in law school, Mallory served as chair of the Moot Court Board, the vice president of the Student Bar Association, and the American Bar Association student representative. She also clerked for the Honorable Judge David W. Lannetti in the Norfolk Circuit Court and the Honorable Judge Tanya Bullock in the Virginia Beach Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
In her free time, Mallory enjoys boating, running, connecting with friends, and trying new local restaurants.
