Mauricio Romero Alpuche was part of Ogletree Deakins from 2017 to 2021. He rejoined in June 2022 after working at a leading firm in Mexico City, where he was part of the labor practice group.
He currently focuses on employment consulting, assisting national and foreign companies in the preparation and review of all types of employment contracts, internal work regulations, and internal work policies; moreover, he has advised national and foreign companies in the execution, negotiation, and legitimization of collective bargaining agreements, as well as the attention of lawsuits for revision of such contracts before the Labor Courts.
Mauricio has participated in dispute resolutions brought by the Rapid Response Labor Mechanism recognized in the United States, Mexico, and Canada Agreement (“USMCA”) regarding the workers’ free association and collective bargaining rights.
Mauricio has experience in all types of litigation before Local and Federal Boards, as well as amparo claims. Mauricio began his legal career in 2012 as an intern at a local boutique firm specializing in labor litigation.
Mauricio speaks fluent Spanish and English.
