Maurisa Iacono

Maurisa is an associate attorney practicing employment-based immigration in Ogletree Deakins’ Washington, D.C. office. She has experience representing large multinational corporations on a variety of nonimmigrant and immigrant visa-related matters. Specifically, she advises clients on nonimmigrant visa categories (L-1, H-1B, TN, etc.) and assists employers with green card processes, including PERM, EB-1, and adjustment of status. Maurisa has extensive experience preparing responses to Requests for Evidence for employment-based petitions, particularly L-1 and EB-1. She also has significant experience responding to U.S. Department of Labor PERM audits and working on complex matters including Nunc Pro Tunc petitions and motions to reopen.

In addition to her employed-based immigration experience, Maurisa has spent time volunteering and interning with several nonprofit organizations focusing on asylum and defenses to removal.
