Michael C. Ledet

Associate   |   New Orleans

Michael C. Ledet (Mike) joined Ogletree in August 2025 to continue assisting employers after three years of management-side employment law experience at a local law firm. Mike has defended employers in administrative charges filed with various state and federal agencies alleging violations of Title VII and other fair employment practices laws, wage payment laws, and the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA). Mike’s litigation experience involves a range of employment law claims including discrimination and harassment, retaliation, restrictive covenants, and wage and hour claims.

In addition to defending employers when a charge or lawsuit is filed, Mike also seeks to help employers avoid employee relations issues by properly handling internal human resources (HR) complaints, requests for leave under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and requests for accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). He has also assisted employers with maintaining policies and practices that comply with federal and state law, primarily in the areas of paid leave, payroll deductions, and employee separation.

Mike earned his J.D. from Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center, where he served on the Journal of Energy Law and Resources and the Tulane Mardi Gras Invitational Sports Law Moot Court team.

Before joining Ogletree, Mike primarily represented business entities in the accounts receivable management industry with their employment and consumer law needs.
