Noel A. Lesica

Of Counsel   |   Morristown

Noel has been counseling and defending employers for decades. Representing clients in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies, Noel has defended companies, managers and human resources professionals against claims and allegations involving wrongful termination, unlawful discrimination and harassment (based on sex, race, religion, disability and other protected characteristics), retaliation, and wage and hour violations. She has also advised and counselled employers in the areas of sick and family leave entitlement, requests for reasonable accommodation for a disability, and COVID-19 compliance challenges.

In addition to her private practice, Noel worked in-house in the highly regulated pharmaceutical industry.  There, she advised management and staff on a broad range of risk management issues, with a primary focus on prescription drug advertising and promotion. This experience working inside legal departments and side-by-side with business professionals gives Noel unique insights into the goals and challenges of in-house counsel when working with their outside legal advisors.

Based on her litigation and in-house experience, Noel understands the value of preventing employment claims before they reach the courtroom, and has trained managers and staff at numerous companies on how to prevent and address discrimination and harassment in the workplace. Noel also has experience in all aspects of alternative dispute resolution.

Before becoming a lawyer, Noel worked for a county prosecutor’s office in New Jersey, providing crisis intervention counseling for crime victims, accompanying them to court, and educating victims, witnesses and their families about the criminal justice system.
