Rose Marie is a seasoned litigator with broad-based experience, including employment litigation, complex commercial litigation, real estate, financial services, contract disputes, creditors’ rights, collections, evictions, eminent domain, lien priority and lender liability, mortgage loan origination, securitization and servicing, franchise litigation, products liability, and insurance coverage/recovery.
Rose Marie is highly skilled at drafting legal arguments in a concise and persuasive manner, having won a significant number of cases on summary judgment. She also has the proven ability to prevail at trial and on appeal and to arbitrate and mediate cases successfully. She has briefed and argued cases in many Ohio appellate districts and in the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Rose Marie represents management and employers in employment litigation matters, including Title VII, the ADA, FMLA, and other state and federal anti-discrimination statutes; cases arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act and analogous state wage and hour laws, including cases brought on a class and collective basis; and non-compete, restrictive covenant and trade secret litigation.
Rose Marie is an active member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, having served on its Board of Directors from 2000 to 2003 and chairing the CMBA Real Estate Law Institute in 2020.
