Sarah Anastasia Mindes has broad experience as a commercial and management side employment lawyer, who both counsels commercial clients on all matters of litigation and litigation avoidance, as well as litigates on their behalf.  As Client Team Counsel for Ogletree Deakins, Sarah handles claims against insurance agents and brokers.

Sarah concentrates her law practice on state and federal court litigation, commercial litigation, including insurance and coverage matters, and employment law. She has participated in mediation and arbitration proceedings, written Appellate (Eleventh Circuit) briefs, Florida Supreme Court briefs, a United States Supreme Court Amicus Curiae brief and Illinois Appellate Court briefs. Her diverse practice has also included legal (Information Management Compliance) consulting and public speaking, legal (employment) counseling, drafting and negotiating employment agreements, executive agreements, severance agreements, non-competition agreements, as well as drafting employment handbooks and policies. She has federal jury trial experience, state court trial and hearing experience and has participated in oral argument before the Florida Supreme Court. Her experience also includes drafting and arguing pretrial motions, motions in limine, conducting direct and cross examination of fact and expert witnesses, evidentiary objections, drafting post-trial motions, taking and defending depositions and drafting motions to dismiss and for summary judgment. Sarah’s broad legal skills and devotion to serving her clients’ business needs also encompasses experience in conducting real estate closings, bringing and defending residential real estate litigation, lien enforcement, specific performance litigation, drafting and negotiating real estate contracts, OSHA dealings and inquiries and real estate zoning and landmark preservation issues.

Sarah graduated from the University of Florida College of Law with honors, where she served as Senior Editor of the Florida Journal of International Law and received an Executive Research Editor book award.  Sarah was also a member of the International Arbitration and Litigation and International Law Society and John Marshall Bar Association.

Sarah is a member of the Illinois Bar, District of Columbia Bar, Florida Bar, California Bar and New York Bar. She is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, United States District Court of the Middle District of Florida, and the United States District Court of the Southern District of Florida (1997).
