Sarah Kokonas is an associate attorney in the Ogletree Deakins Orange County office. She brings more than 15 years of complex employment litigation experience. She has actively managed and directly handled matters through all stages, including trial and arbitration.
Sarah’s wage and hour experience includes compliance with prevailing wage laws and Davis-Bacon Act requirements and representation in individual, class and PAGA actions. Sarah has an intricate understanding of statutory schemes that mandate minimum prevailing wage rates for workers on state and federally funded projects. Sarah has previously been appointed as class counsel in several multi-million-dollar wage and hour class action cases. Additionally, she has expansive experience in handling wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, and harassment claims.
Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Sarah represented plaintiffs in employment matters, giving her a valuable and balanced perspective when defending employers against complex, fact-intensive claims and informing her practical, efficient approach to approaching disputes.

Sarah is a member of the Orange County Bar Association, the Orange County Women Lawyers Association, the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association, and the Los Angeles Trial Lawyers Association. In her free time, Sarah enjoys cooking, traveling, and being a mother to a very active teenage daughter.
