For the entirety of her career, Shaina E. Hicks has practiced employment law. She is an employment litigator and a strategic partner to employers, helping companies of all sizes confront and resolve employment issues. Shaina defends all aspects of employment disputes, whether in court, arbitration, or before administrative agencies such as the EEOC and DOL. Her litigation practice focuses on claims pertaining to leaves of absence, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and employment-related torts. However, often times, employment law issues arise before litigation ensues. Shaina helps employers navigate these challenges by providing responsive, sound, and practical advice and counsel.
Shaina leads a variety of independent, third-party investigations for firm clients. Her investigation practice involves complaints alleging a pattern or practice of discrimination, inequity in the workplace, executive and/or employee misconduct, sexual assault and harassment, and bias in employment decisions.
Finally, in the unfortunate event of a need to conduct a layoff, Shaina handles all aspects of the reduction-in-force process.
