Tammy is Of Counsel in the Columbia office. She focuses her practice on assisting multinational clients with immigration strategies for employment-based nonimmigrant visa categories, including H-1B, L-1, E-2, and TN visas. Additionally, she is knowledgeable in the various paths to obtaining legal permanent residency, which includes processing applications for medical doctors, multinational managers, and skilled and unskilled workers. She also has extensive experience in responding to government requests for evidence related to nonimmigrant and immigrant visas.
Tammy’s immigration work prior to joining Ogletree Deakins focused on assisting abused immigrants and obtaining status for individuals through VAWA, U-Visas, T-Visas, SIJS, and DACA. She was also involved in policy and litigation work that ensured immigrants’ rights and opportunities were protected. Over the years, she has spoken to the media on a number of immigration issues and trained non-profits and state agencies on immigration law.
