Yousaf Jafri is an associate in the San Diego office of Ogletree Deakins. He represents employers in all aspects of workplace law matters, including employment litigation and preventative counseling. Yousaf represents employers in diverse areas including wage and hour law, actions brought under California’s Private Attorneys General Act, and single- and multi-plaintiff actions involving discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
Yousaf earned his Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego (USD) School of Law. During law school, he was a judicial extern for the Honorable Scott C. Clarkson of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, an Executive Editor for the USD International Law Journal, and an Associate on the USD Appellate Moot Court Board. Yousaf also belongs to the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society, earned CALI Awards for the highest grade in his Civil Procedure and International Taxation courses, and was a San Diego County Bar Association Diversity Fellow. Prior to law school, Yousaf graduated from the University of California, San Diego with Honors and a dual major in Political Science and Biological Sciences.
Outside of the office, Yousaf serves on the Advisory Board for Classics 4 Kids, a local non-profit dedicated to K-5 student music education, and plays drums in a local blues ensemble.
