Yvonne Toy is a shareholder and leads the San Francisco office’s immigration team. With more than 20 years of experience in business immigration law, Yvonne’s strengths are two-fold: externally, she guides corporate clients in a varied of industries on all aspects of immigration program development, compliance management, and strategies for global talent mobility; meanwhile internally, she has cultivated a team of attorneys and paralegals known for their delivery of exceptional service while handling high-volume, complex visa transactions.

Prior, Yvonne was a co-founder and partner of a leading immigration boutique law firm. She had also practiced for many years at one of the largest U.S. immigration law firms where she grew to become a thought leader in EB-1 priority worker visas and PERM Labor Certifications; and earlier, Yvonne served as an in-house attorney for the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where she developed and managed its immigration program securing work visas for some of the world’s top scientists and engineers.

An established expert in program development and providing alternative visa strategies for complex nonimmigrant and immigrant visa matters, Yvonne is listed in the 2022 Lawdragon 500 Leading Corporate Employment Lawyers guide and is recognized as a Who’s Who Global Leader in Corporate Immigration. She is also frequently invited by the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Southern California Relocation Council (SCRC), and National Association of International Educators (NAFSA) to speak on business immigration developments and serves as faculty for several AILA online education modules. Yvonne earned her J.D. from New York Law School and her B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley.
