PORTLAND, Ore. – July 19, 2022 – Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, has elevated Elizabeth (Liz) Falcone to office managing shareholder of the firm’s Portland, Oregon office. Falcone succeeds Jacqueline Damm, who returns full time to her labor and employment law practice.
As office managing shareholder, Falcone leads a team of 11 adept attorneys with a strong presence in the Pacific Northwest and throughout the country. Practitioners in the Portland office advise and represent employers across various industries on all facets of labor and employment law, including employee benefits and executive compensation, wage and hour, leaves of absence and reasonable accommodations, and workplace investigations and organizational assessments, among others.
Falcone has more than 20 years of experience representing employers in both state and federal courts and before administrative agencies, including the United States Department of Labor (DOL), United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, and Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries. She has tried numerous cases to verdict before juries, courts, and arbitrators. A skilled litigator, Falcone represents clients with putative class actions across various industries, such as retail, financial services, and construction trades. She is known for her ability to steer difficult cases, including complex litigation, to resolution or through trial.
In addition to her legal practice, Falcone also serves as co-chair of Ogletree Deakins Women’s Initiative (ODWIN) Business Resource Group. ODWIN serves as a resource to enhance Ogletree’s commitment to its women attorneys by creating and fostering an environment of inclusiveness through active involvement in the firm’s business development, recruitment, retention, and educational awareness efforts as they relate to women attorneys.
