Effective August 1, 2023, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will not only roll out a new edition of the Form I-9 but will also allow employers to conduct I-9 verification through virtual means instead of the traditional in-person verification process, provided the employer satisfies certain compliance requirements.
