Kelly Cardin, shareholder in Ogletree Deakins’ New York and Stamford offices, has been appointed to co-chair the firm’s Pay Equity Practice Group. She assumes the role from co-founding chair Liz Washko, who will become the firm’s new managing shareholder later this month. Cardin will serve alongside Austin shareholder Shafeeqa Giarratani and London partner Daniella McGuigan.
Cardin has served on the firm’s Pay Equity Steering Committee for several years and has deep knowledge of pay equity laws across the country. Her practice focuses on representing employers in a wide range of disputes, including those involving discrimination and retaliation claims, wage and hour claims, wrongful discharge claims, and claims under the FMLA. She also counsels clients with respect to their employee handbooks and personnel policies and conducts workplace investigations.
