On June 20, 2024, the California Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board approved the new Heat Illness Prevention in Indoor Places of Employment regulation and the regulation is expected to get final approval soon. The new regulation applies to all indoor work areas where the temperature reaches the threshold of 82 degrees Fahrenheit when employees are present. This webinar will prepare California employers for compliance with the new requirements, including implementation of a plan for their workplace, and best practices for training and recordkeeping. The speakers will also discuss the interplay between the outdoor heat regulation and the new indoor heat regulation.
