On October 28, 2024, the U.S. Department of State announced a correction to an error in the Federal Register and thereby changed the deadline to register for the fiscal year (FY) 2026 Diversity Visa (DV) lottery from November 5, 2024, to November 7, 2024, at noon EST. The lottery has been open since October 2, 2024.
