Hitting the ground running, Acting Director of the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) Craig Leen released two new directives on August 10, 2018, including the agency’s plan to initiate “focused reviews” in Fiscal Year 2019 and provide guidance designed to ensure that faith-based organizations can compete for federal work. Before the end of August, the agency released three more directives, including one calling for the establishment of “a program for verification of compliance by all contractors with AAP obligations,” another outlining the creation of a contractor recognition program, and the much-anticipated compensation directive. These five new OFCCP directives run the gamut, and some have wide-ranging practical implications for covered contractors. Our presenters will discuss each of the new initiatives and answer contractors’ questions on the new requirements they impose.
